Fire Safety on Guest Room Floors:

Ensuring fire safety on guest room floors in a hotel is crucial because hotel guests may not be familiar with the building’s layout, fire escape routes, and emergency notification procedures. The conventional methods of fire detection and alarm notification are not always suitable for hotel guest room applications.

Hotel management staff must strike a balance between maintaining the safety of the occupants and minimizing disruptions to their stay. Safety takes precedence, but it’s equally important to avoid unnecessary disturbances to guests.

Fire Safety in Hotel Guest Rooms and on Floors:

Each individual guest room must be equipped with a smoke and abnormal heat monitoring system for automatic fire detection.

A sounder or speaker must be in place to alert occupants and signal a fire emergency, with a minimum 65 dB sound level to ensure it wakes up a sleeping person.

The air-conditioning unit in each room should be capable of deactivation during emergencies.

After exiting their rooms during an emergency, guests will be guided by emergency lighting and illuminated signage with voice alarms directing them to the nearest fire exit.

Airlight provides an addressable Multisensor system with speakers and addressable emergency lights for escape routes, signage lighting, and fire fighting appliance lighting.

Provisions for handling false alarms are available. In minor smoke incidents in guest rooms, alarms will be limited to the control room and the specific room to prevent disturbances to other guests.

Real-time temperature and smoke density displays are accessible for better assessment and easy management through the control panel.

Talkback speakers will be positioned on each floor near exits for emergency communication with control room operators.
