Manual Call Point

Overview:

Manual call point is an initiating device to trigger an automatic emergency support system. These call points are strategically placed throughout buildings. The control panel can be configured to automatically activate specific devices on the support system depending on the location of the emergency. When occupants detect a fire and activate the nearest call point, the system initiates a series of pre-programmed actions.

Addressable Manual call Point

Model No:AA104CP

Functional Brief:

When occupants detect a fire, they can activate the nearest call point, triggering a series of automatic actions:

1. The Control panel displays the call point’s location and zone, accompanied by a voice alarm detailing the emergency location.

2. Speakers in the activated zone, adjacent areas, and maintenance personnel cabins broadcast the emergency location message.

3. The activated area’s escape lighting activates, and access control systems deactivate.

This automated response aids personnel in providing timely support, allowing affected occupants to escape and take necessary actions while minimizing disruption to others.

Virtual Call point:

If occupants haven’t activated the manual call point but fire is detected through other means, safety personnel can activate the virtual call point using the dedicated page, which is linked to the physical call points installed in the building to trigger the same function as programmed.

Airlight’s Manual Call Point offers the following features:

  • It is designed to be big and bold, ensuring easy visibility from a long distance.
  • The aesthetic design of the Manual Call Point aligns with other fire alarm devices such as the Talkback Speaker and Speaker Beacon, creating a cohesive appearance.
  • The Manual Call Point features a protective flip cover made of strong and transparent polycarbonate material, ensuring durability and easy access.
  • It incorporates a large and prominent push button with an electronic latch circuit. There is no need for an extra key for resetting, as it can be done remotely from the control panel.
  • The Manual Call Point includes dual LEDs that provide redundancy. These LEDs blink together during the scan process, indicating the operational status of the device and ensuring reliable indication.
  • Additionally, one of the LEDs provides a steady glow during an active alarm state, further enhancing visibility and indicating the need for immediate action.

These design considerations ensure that the Manual Call Point from Airlight meets both functional and aesthetic requirements. The inclusion of dual LEDs with synchronized blinking during the scan process adds redundancy and reliability to the device, while the steady glow LED during an alarm state ensures clear and immediate visual indication for prompt response to potential fire incidents. These different types of manual call points cater to various applications and safety requirements in fire alarm systems.

Addressable Voice Call Point

Model No: AA105VCP

Addressable Voice Call Point:

The main objective of the fire warning system is to alert the ground floor security staff about fire emergency situations and prompt them to take appropriate action. Conventional call points only trigger a signal, leaving the security staff to guess the location and nature of the fire emergency from remotely located occupants. To enhance response efficiency, the Addressable Voice Call Point enables direct communication between occupants and security staff. Equipped with a microphone, occupants can provide detailed information about the problem, empowering the security staff to respond more effectively. This results in a quicker and more informed reaction to fire emergencies. By utilizing this unit, occupants can speak directly to the security staff, who can, in turn, respond through the addressable PA speaker typically installed above this unit. Implementing the Addressable Voice Call Point eliminates the need for a separate talkback unit/system, as the addressable speaker above this unit serves as a two-way communication solution.
