WHY FIRE SAFETY IS INEVITABLE?

WHY GOVERNMENT REGULATIONS?
- Life safety is the priority of the government, hence the government has developed the code for fire and life safety. Based on occupancy, what are the type of fire prevention and safety system to be installed is prescribed in NBC2016. Defined the responsibilities of Architect, Builder, and occupying society to ensure the fire prevention system.
WHY FIRE ALARM IS STATUTORY AND HOW THE GOVERNMENT IS CERTIFYING TO ISSUE A NO OBJECTION CERTIFICATE?
- The fire alarm is an important system in a building. What are fire alarm features are required is explained in NBC 2016 and selection and maintenance procedures are defined in IS 2189.
- Fire authority responsibilities to audit the NBC2016 compliance and issue a No objection certificate to occupy the building.
- The audit is not limited to one-time certification, it has to be audited every year for renewal of the certificate.
WHY ASSOCIATE ONLY WITH OEM?
- Fire alarm being built using electronic circuits and software-driven.
- Fire detection system devices consist of measuring instruments to measure the level of smoke and heat. These devices are to be calibrated periodically.
- Hence for maintenance management, the occupant management shall have an agreement with a competent Agency for the entire life of the system. Without OEM support the system can never be maintained.
