Addressable Intelligent multisensor detector
This device intended to be used for addressable automatic fire detection system to detect presence of smoke, smoke density and abnormal temperature for fire alarm. This combined function of smoke and heat sensor (Multisensor detector) detects abnormal level smoke & heat and raises an alarm which continuously interacts with control panel to update the real time smoke and temperature exists at reported location. This sensor measures the smoke/temperature level in protected areas and analyses the level of smoke/temperature and verify with alarm level setting. When smoke/temperature level crosses the set level, it communicates to fire warning system control panel along with its ID. This smoke sensor works on photoelectric principle. It consists of special LED to illuminate the smoke chamber. This LED illumination level gets reduced due to its aging. Hence its sensitivity may go out of sensitivity range. Therefore it requires a periodical calibration to ensure its functional objective. Refer IS 2189 for more details.
SMOKE & TEMPERATURE SENSITIVITY SETTINGS
Standard smoke level and temperature level for alarm are set at the factory. According to the area of protection, this setting can be changed from the control panel by the user.
SOFT ADDRESSING:
Based on the order, the address of the sensor is configured at the factory. If any alteration in the address is required, it can be changed from the control panel. No extra special tools are required.
REMOTE TESTING
The various functional validations manually from the remote control panel can be done for maintenance and troubleshooting. If the control panel is connected to the cloud, it can be accessed through the internet/mobile app.
ENVIRONMENTAL TYPE TESTING
The detector environmental type tested, as per IS 11360, UL 264N with NABL India and NABL USA.
DETACHABLE DETECTOR
A detector designed to be easily removed from its normal operating position for maintenance and servicing purposes.
DETECTOR CALIBRATION
As per IS 2189/ NBC 2016 Smoke detector being a measuring instrument and the sensitivity is vulnerable to get reduced, hence periodical calibration is required. Our factory is located in Chennai, India. We undertake calibration services for our make sensors and certify them. The certificate is mandatory to be maintained for the government and third-party audits.

What is a multisensor sensor and how does it work?
Multisensor is an instrument that houses both smoke and heat sensors for a more guaranteed fire detection.
The multisensor detector is only a measuring instrument that monitors the level of smoke and heat in its surveillance. It will raise an alarm only when the level of smoke/heat exceeds its pre-set upper limit/threshold values.
Its working functions combine the optical smoke detection principle & rate of rising heat detection principle.
The Photoelectric/Optical Smoke detection part works on a common light scattering principle. A multisensor detector contains a chamber that consists of a light emitter usually a LED and a light a sensitive device like a photodiode that receives all the light directly emitted by the LED.
When the smoke enters the chamber, the intensity of light received by the photodiode reduces due to the density of smoke. If the intensity of received light drops below a pre-set threshold level, the fire alarm is triggered confirming fire.
Further, for heat detection, a thermistor device is used in the detector to monitor temperature levels. The resistance offered by the thermistor device decreases with an increase in heat sensed by it, thereby increasing the values of voltage and current drawn by the circuit. The detector’s intelligence algorithm monitors the difference in voltage values at continuous intervals of time. The higher the difference in voltage, the higher the increase in heat.
In the case of fire, the rise in temperature is rapid. Meaning, in less time the difference in temperature measured is very high. This parameter of the rate of rising in heat is considered to raise an alarm confirming the presence of fire.
The alarm is also raised when the live temperature exceeds the pre-set upper limit/threshold values of the detector.
The unit of measure for the level of smoke is Obscuration/foot (Obs/ft). Similarly, Celsius is the preferred unit for measuring heat levels.
Multi sensors provide more reliable fire warnings by responding quickly to smoldering fires.
